Claire Callinan is a visual artist based in Dublin. She studied Fine Art Media in NCAD, has a diploma in Graphic Design from the UCD Professional Academy and most recently completed the Painting Resolution course with the RHA. Claire is a recipient of the 2025 Thomas Dammann Junior Memorial Trust Award, along with the 2026 Agility Award from the Arts Council.

Claire’s work is often centred around disconnection.

Previously looking at the sense of disconnection with one’s self that can occur, her current body of work focuses on society’s growing and seemingly inevitable reliance on technology. It explores our disconnection with one another and the world around us in exchange for this new digital world.
